About

“Movement is my first language - a way to express, connect, and be understood. For me, it’s always been about connection: with people, with music, through story. I’m drawn to rhythm, expression, and movement that feels honest, lived-in, and rooted in the moment.”

Movement that Connects

Sean is a choreographer and movement director working across stage, screen, and live events. His work is driven by a simple aim: to create movement that feels true - to the story, the performers, and the world of the piece.

Whether working with actors, dancers, or non-performers, he shapes each process to suit the people in the room and the needs of the production. From bold choreography to subtle physical direction, his approach is always responsive, intuitive, and human.

  • Training and background

Trained in Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Hip Hop, Sean works as a choreographer and movement director across television, theatre, film and live events. His work blends strong technical foundations with creative storytelling and a collaborative process.

    Partner Dance

In addition to broad technical training, Sean has developed a specialism in partner dance styles - including Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Salsa, Latin and Ballroom. He has learnt from the energy, rhythm, and community at the heart of these styles through active involvement in swing and salsa scenes. This hands-on experience continues to inform both theatrical and commercial projects, bringing a sense of connection and spontaneity to the work.

    Inspiration

From the bedroom dancer getting ready in the mirror, to the talcum-powdered floors of Northern Soul clubs, the sharp precision of Fosse-style musical theatre, the sweat and swagger of a pop concert stage, or the raw energy of a crowded social dance floor, Sean is drawn to movement that feels lived-in, expressive, and emotionally charged.

  • Sean often works with performers who don’t see themselves as dancers. His focus is on helping them feel comfortable in their bodies and confident in the material. Whether it’s character work, choreography, or movement-led scenes, he adapts his approach to suit the needs of the production and the people in the room.

Years of experience on productions like Strictly Come Dancing have shaped a flexible and collaborative working style, particularly in high-pressure environments.

  • Fluent in British Sign Language (BSL), Sean regularly works on projects involving Deaf creatives or sign-integrated choreography. Where relevant, he supports teams with access planning, Deaf consultancy and inclusive communication.

His focus is always to embed BSL meaningfully into the creative language of the work - not as an addition, but as a vital part of the process.
